Prostate Care 101

Prostate Care 101

Maintaining good health is a vital aspect of leading a fulfilling life, and it is particularly important for men to pay attention to their well-being, including their prostate health. The prostate gland, a walnut-sized organ located just below the bladder, plays a crucial role in reproductive health. Unfortunately, as men age, the prostate can become susceptible to various conditions that can impact overall wellness. This includes BPH and the 67 men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer every day.1,2

However, by adopting a proactive approach and making certain lifestyle changes, men can support their health and promote a healthy prostate, naturally.

What lifestyle changes should gentlemen be implementing?

Men can take several steps to support their health and wellness, with a specific focus on their prostate. Here are some key practices that men can incorporate into their daily routine:

  1. Maintain a Balanced Diet: What we put into our bodies affects the microbiome of the gut, which can either benefit or worsen prostatic health.3 Diets that are rich in vegetables, fruits, fish, and legumes help reduce inflammation and control oxidative stress.4 These foods would help protect against a condition known as prostatitis, where the prostate tissue becomes inflamed and enlarged.
  2. Regular Exercise: A walk after dinner can reduce your risk of aggressive prostate cancer by an astonishing 86%!5 Men who exercise for about five hours per week are also about 50% less likely to develop BPH.6
  3. Hydration: Staying hydrated is crucial for overall health. Drinking an adequate amount of water daily promotes proper bodily functions and helps flush out toxins.
  4. Maintain a Healthy Weight: This is a crucial target for countless chronic diseases and health outcomes, but specific to prostate health, higher weight has been linked to worse BPH symptoms.7

What about some supplement support?

This is where products like Prostate1 by A.Vogel play a role. The main medicinal ingredient is an extremely hardy palm known as Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens), named for the sharp spines lining the leaves. With a blend of free fatty acids, this plant targets pathways that cause the prostate to enlarge over time.

In human clinical trials, Prostate1 was shown to reduce both the urinary and sexual impacts of an enlarged prostate. This included symptoms like waking up to urinate, dribbling, the ability to maintain an erection, and even sexual desire.8,9,10 If you can help reduce the size of the prostate, you also reduce your risk of developing urinary tract and kidney infections.11

At just one capsule per day, this is a no-fuss addition to any man’s routine.
