Going Nuts About Brazil Nuts
Brazil nuts come from one of the tallest trees in the Amazon Rainforest. The trees grow up to 160 feet tall. The nut pods drop to the ground at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour and are collected by hand by locals in Brazil, Peru and Bolivia.
It’s not just about a nut–it’s about preserving a complete ecosystem that is threatened by illegal mining and deforestation. Entire indigenous communities living in remote areas of the Amazon Rainforest depend on Brazil nuts for their livelihood. Hand-harvesting these nuts creates a natural economic sustainability that helps both the forest and the local communities.
The Brazil nut tree is inseparably linked to the forest in which it grows. The trees depend on orchid bees for pollination. The bees depend on the orchids to survive, and the orchids in turn depend on the trees to help create the pristine environment they require to live. Brazilian cashews are also hand picked from the Rainforest. The cashew is native to Brazil, in the area between the Atlantic Rainforest and the Amazon Rainforest.
Nuts To You® dry-roasts the shelled nuts and then blends them with whole coconut, making a butter that is high in iron, selenium, fibre, essential fats and protein. Brazil nuts, cashews and coconut are non-GMO and gluten free.

The Nuts To You® Story Since 1989…
The original vision from 1989 of a Canadian, small-town, family-owned, organic/natural nut butter manufacturer remains intact today. Located in Paris, Ontario, where the Grand and Nith rivers merge, Nuts to You® produces a wide variety of nut and seed butters with no added salt, sugar or hydrogenated oil, creating a simple, tasty alternative for everyone. Their focus from the beginning on organic has allowed them the satisfaction of knowing that they are one of the few originals remaining in the North American market today.
Along the way, they have created and supported many organic projects around the world, allowing them access to original nut and seed varieties. They have been involved in projects growing organic peanuts in the Dominican Republic and organic sesame seeds in Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua; with an organic almond co-op in Spain; with Sicilian organic almond growers; and with organic sunflower seed growers on the Canadian prairies. Their involvement with these groups and growers has led over our many years in business to the development of a symbiotic relationship between grower, manufacturer and you, the consumer, in the creation of tasty, healthy and simple foods produced locally, allowing a potential for change as they move forward.
In keeping with their original vision of a small, family manufacturer supporting small growers around the world, they proudly offer Rainforest Nut Butter with Coconut, a unique nut butter blend of Brazil nuts, cashews and whole coconut.
