Cleansing, is it Necessary?

Cleansing, is it Necessary?

Our body is designed to detoxify quite well on its own. But the truth is, we’re living in a toxic world with increased stress on our elimination pathways because of exposure to chemicals we eat, breathe, drink or put on our bodies.[1] [2] Our bodies may struggle and show symptoms of low energy, fatigue, digestive problems, skin flare ups, chronic inflammation and immune system issues.[3]

We have seven organs of elimination that work hard every single day:

  • The Liver – changes or detoxifies harmful toxins into substances that can be safely eliminated from the body.
  • The Lungs – expel toxins through breathing (ex. Carbon dioxide).
  • The Colon – eliminates toxins from the liver and waste that has accumulated in the intestines.
  • The Kidneys – receive water-soluble waste from the liver so that it can be further filtered and eliminated through the bladder.
  • The Skin – eliminates waste and toxins through sweat.
  • The Blood – flows through the vascular system and carries oxygen and nutrients to the body’s cells while removing harmful waste.
  • The Lymphatic System – eliminates poisons from cells through a network of vessels that extend throughout the body.

Supporting these elimination organs through an herbal cleanse can help your body’s natural toxin and waste removal process and support digestive health and regular elimination.

Cleansing has been used by cultures worldwide for centuries.[4] Herbal cleanses are used to improve digestive function, protect the liver, and gently cleanse the bowel. Formulas typically come in convenient vegetable capsules or tinctures and depending on individual needs, they can last for a week or as long as a month.

For more than two decades, Renew Life® has been a leader in herbal detoxification cleansing kits. Renew Life® products are formulated with high-quality ingredients to help you achieve and maintain optimal health. They are committed to providing health supplements with no artificial colours, unnecessary preservatives or other added materials. They can fit easily into your daily routine and require no fasting or giving up solid foods. Think of it as another way to help your body stay healthy, just like eating right and exercising.

CleanseSMART® is a two-part, 30-day herbal cleansing program designed to reduce the toxic load in your body and relieve occasional constipation. CleanseSMART® contains silymarin, a mixture of flavonolignans isolated from the botanical seed milk thistle, an herbal ingredient traditionally used for liver protection.

If you’re struggling to find time for a longer cleanse, Rapid Cleanse® is perfect. It’s a three-part, 7-day cleanse that combines soluble fibre with herbs, minerals, and amino acids. Rapid Cleanse® is a powerful cleanse that can help detoxify your body, restore digestive health, promote bowel movements, and support bowel health.

Don’t forget the Fibre!

Fibre and water are essential to keep things moving through your digestive tract, especially when cleansing. You can increase fibre intake by eating more fibre rich foods, or you can take a daily fibre supplement such as FibreSMART®. FibreSMART® is a flax-based dietary fibre supplement that can be taken in capsule form or added as a powder to water or juice to help support everyday bowel health. It helps keep the digestive tract running smoothly with ingredients such as Marshmallow Root and Slippery Elm Bark.

The human body wants to be in a state of balance; it wants to be healthy. So, support it with the proper nutrients, water, exercise, supplements, rest and play, and it will cleanse, reconstruct, and keep you safe.
