Official Rules and Regulations:

The Health First 12 Days of Giving Contest” (the “12 Days of Giving Contest”) is being sponsored, presented, organized and administered by Health First Network (the “Contest Organizer”) on behalf of its participating Health First Network Member retail stores (the “Member Stores”) across Canada. No purchase is necessary to enter the 12 Days of Giving Contest. Making any purchase will not increase or affect an eligible person’s chances of winning a Prize offered in the 12 Days of Giving Contest.

Contest Period: The 12 Days of Giving Contest begins on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) (the “Contest Opening Date”) and ends at 11:59 PM ET on Friday, November 24, 2023 (the “Contest Closing Date”).

How to Enter: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. Beginning Monday, November 13, 2023 at 12:00 AM ET, an eligible person may enter online at http://healthfirstnetwork.ca/giveaway. An eligible person must legibly complete all of the required information on his/her/their Entry Form during the 12 Days of Giving Contest Period and submit the Form online.

Note Respecting Entry Limits: No eligible person may submit in any manner more than one (1) Entry Per Day into the 12 Days of Giving Contest during the 12 Days of Giving Contest Period. If the Contest Organizer finds that an eligible person has failed to comply with this Entry limitation or has attempted in any way to circumvent this Entry limitation, the Contest Organizer will disqualify that person from the 12 Days of Giving Contest, and all Entries submitted by that person will be null and void.

Prizes: A virtual draw will take place for the chance to win one Gift Basket filled with natural health products, with an approximate retail value of $150 CAD. The Prize must be accepted as awarded, has no cash value, and is non-transferable.

Important Note Respecting the Skill-Testing Question: An eligible person who becomes the potential Prize winner in the 12 Days of Giving Contest understands, acknowledges and agrees that, by entering the 12 Days of Giving Contest, and before becoming a verified winner, he/she/they will first be required to answer, correctly and without any mechanical, electronic or other assistance whatsoever, a skill-testing question that is contained in the Declaration and Release and will be required to be executed properly and returned to the Contest Organizer as and when required by these Official Rules, including the Declaration and Release together with any other documents that the Contest Organizer may require, all in accordance with the provisions of these Official Rules and Regulations.

Eligibility: The 12 Days of Giving Contest is not open to residents of Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut where there are no Health First Network Member Stores. Prize claimant must be a resident of Canada who has reached the age of majority of their province of residence by the commencement of the 12 Days of Giving Contest Period, with the exception of: 

  • Any person who at any time during the 12 Days of Giving Contest Period is associated with the 12 Days of Giving Contest, including employees, officers, directors, advertising or promotional agencies, subsidiaries, Member Stores and their owners, officers, directors and employees, dealers, and representatives of the Contest Organizer or of any supplier of the Prize or part of the Prize for the 12 Days of Giving Contest
  • Any person engaged in the development, production or distribution of materials for the 12 Days of Giving Contest; and
  • Any person who is or purports to be an immediate family member (defined as spouse, dependent for federal income tax purposes, half-sister, half-brother, or step-, biological, foster, in-law or adoptive mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, or son) of, or who resides or is domiciled in the same household.

12 Days of Giving Contest Draw: To determine the Prize winners, a random selection from all eligible entries received each day of the 12 Days of Giving Contest Period will be made at the Health First Network corporate office on November 27, 2023 and continue until all prizes have been awarded. In order to win a Prize, a selected entrant will be required to correctly answer a mathematical, skill-testing question, sign a standard Declaration and Release form, and must be eligible according to the Official Rules and Regulations. Health First Network will not engage in any correspondence except with the potential Prize winners. Winners will be contacted by telephone or email and will have one week from date of contact/attempted contact to respond before the prize is awarded to another entrant. Please allow six to eight (6-8) weeks from the draw date for verification of contest winners and Prize fulfillment.

Limits of Responsibility: By entering this contest, the winners acknowledge and agree that the Contest Organizer, Health First Network, its respective affiliates, agencies, and respective officers, directors, employees, and agents shall have no liability and the contest winners hereby agree to release them and hold them harmless from any liability arising from or relating to this contest or the awarding or use of the Prize. By entering this contest, you consent to Health First Network and/or their respective affiliates using the personal information submitted with your Entry for the purpose of administering this contest. No further information or marketing communications will be received by the entrant unless the entrant provides Health First Network and their respective affiliated companies with explicit permission to do so at the time of entry, subject to compliance with applicable privacy legislation. 

Other Rules: The decisions of the Contest Organizer will be final and binding on all entrants. The Contest Organizer shall not bear any liability for contest entries that are lost, delayed, destroyed, or otherwise improperly completed, or claims that are irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform with or satisfy any or all conditions of these Official Rules. Any such claims will be judged void. By entering, each entrant agrees to abide by the Official Rules and Regulations and the decisions of the Contest Organizer, which shall be final and binding in all matters related to this contest. All entries become the property of the Contest Organizer, which assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, damaged, or misdirected entries.

The Contest Organizer shall not bear any liability for the loss, theft or misuse of the Prize, or any personal damage, personal injury or misfortune in any way attributable to the 12 Days of Giving Contest or the Prize. Contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited.

The Contest Organizer reserves the right to terminate this contest or to amend these Contest Rules and Regulations at any time without notice or with notice in major national newspapers if any factor interferes with the proper conduct of the contest as contemplated by the Rules. Odds of winning any Prize are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received. 

For Quebec Entrants Only: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
